Armenia raises death toll from Azeri aggression to six

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Defense Ministry on Friday, November 19 confirmed the death of six servicemen in Azerbaijan's latest aggression against Armenia on November 16.

Taron Sahakyan (b. 1990), Merukhan Harutyunyan (b. 1991), Gurgen Sargsyan (b. 1990) Artur Martirosyan (b. 1998), Davit Amiryan (b. 1980) and one soldier who has yet to be identified lost their lives for the defense of the country.

In clashes launched by Azerbaijan on November 16, the Armenian side has confirmed deaths and injuries, while 13 soldiers have been captured by Azerbaijan. Two combat positions too have gone under the control of Azeri forces, 24 Armenian troops have gone missing.

The Defense Ministry said the situation remains relatively stable along the contact line between Armenia and Azerbaijan as of 10 am Friday.
