Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan summit confirmed for November 26

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will hold trilateral talks in Sochi on November 26, the Kremlin reports.

Arranged and hosted by Putin, the summit is timed to coincide with the anniversary of the signing of the statement that ended hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh on November 9, 2020.

"It is planned to consider the implementation of the agreements reached by the leaders of the three countries on November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021, as well as outline further steps to strengthen stability and establish a peaceful life in the region. Particular attention will be paid to the restoration and development of trade, economic and transport links," the Kremlin said in a statement.

Putin is also set to meet Pashinyan and Aliyev separately.

It was reported earlier that European Council President Charles Michel has proposed to host Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for a meeting in Brussels in the margins of the EaP Summit, to which the leaders agreed. They are set to meet in Brussels to discuss the regional situation and ways of overcoming tensions.
