Aliyev hosts Russian Deputy PM in Baku

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Wednesday, November 24 hosted Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk in Baku, Interfax reports citing the Azeri President's official website.

The activity of the trilateral commission chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia to unblock communications in the South Caucasus was on the table.

It was also noted at the meeting that the opening of transport communications between Azerbaijan and Armenia will contribute to stability and economic development in the region.

The meeting comes just days before a summit of the Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders in Sochi on November 26. Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister also set to meet in Brussels on December 15.
