Armenia says appreciates Austria's position on Karabakh

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia highly appreciates the position of Austria on the comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said at a meeting with Austrian counterpart Michael Linhart on Thursday, December 2.

Mirzoyan and Linhart, who met in Sweden on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council, weighed in on the situation resulting from the recent aggression unleashed by the Azerbaijani armed forces against the sovereign territory of Armenia.

The sides discussed the humanitarian issues requiring urgent solution, issues of protection of Artsakh's cultural and religious heritage in the territories fallen under the control of Azerbaijan, and unimpeded access of international organizations to Artsakh were discussed.

The foreign policy chiefs of Armenia and Austria also weighed in on bilateral cooperation, Armenia's efforts in sustainable development, as well as collaboration of the two countries in multilateral formats, including within the EU and the OSCE.
