Muradov pledges to complete return of Armenian captives

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian peacekeepers deployed in Nagorno-Karabakh will achieve the repatriation of all Armenian captives, Deputy Commander of the Southern Military District of the RF Armed Forces Rustam Muradov has said in an interview with TASS.

Muradov who served as the Commander of the Peacekeeping Contingent, believes that there has been created a "positive understanding of the issue."

"To date, all the servicemen of the Azerbaijani side have been returned, and the process of returning the Armenian prisoners of war continues, there is a positive mutual understanding. I believe that this issue must be resolved completely," Muradov said.

Muradov also revealed that the remains of more than 1960 people killed in the Second Karabakh War have been returned to Armenian and Azerbaijani authorities by Russian peacekeepers since the deployment of the contingent in Karabakh.
