U.S. eases travel recommendations on Armenia![]() January 11, 2022 - 12:26 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Monday, January 10 lowered travel recommendations from "Level Four: Very High" to "Level 3: High" to Armenia. The CDC says Americans should be fully vaccinated before traveling to Level 3 destinations, while Level 4 destinations should be avoided altogether. Also Monday, the U.S. State Department issued a fresh travel advisory for Armenia, assigning the country a "Level 3: Reconsider Travel" badge. The State Department also said American citizens should continue avoiding travel to Nagorno-Karabakh surrounding territories due to recent hostilities. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees. Friday night 8 trees were torched along the beautiful main entrance.
