Armenia moves closer to banning gambling advertising![]() January 21, 2022 - 13:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Lawmakers in Armenia are about to introduce significant changes to the country’s gambling advertising laws. Members of parliament on Friday, January 21 approved in first reading a draft law banning all kinds of betting ads, with 56 in favor and 8 opposed, 16 abstentions. Introduced by the government, the bill, if approved, all kinds of gambling advertisements will be banned on radio, television and internet. Such advertising will only be allowed only in hotels with 4-stars or higher, border checkpoints and in front of similar buildings. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed. David Vardanyan is the son of former Karabakh leader Ruben Vardanyan who who is currently imprisoned in Azerbaijan. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has met with Stephan Schütz, Executive Partner at Gerkan, Marg and Partners.
