Armenia ex-President insists Karabakh will never be part of Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has reiterated that Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) will never be a part of Azerbaijan. In an interview with Factor.am, Sargsyan said there are opportunities for that.

"I have come to declare again that Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan. And despite the devastating war, despite the capitulation, there are still opportunities for that," Sargsyan said.

The ex-President said he has been observing disappointment among some political forces and people in Armenia. There is an "atmosphere of frustration", he added.

Sargsyan stepped down in the spring of 2018 when now Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan staged massive protests across the country and ousted the former authorities.
