 Macron thanks French diplomats, soldiers for repatriating Armenian PoWs February 7, 2022 - 19:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - President of France Emmanuel Macron has thanked French diplomats and soldiers for helping repatriate eight Armenian prisoners of war from Azerbaijan. "Eight Armenian detainees were released by Azerbaijan and transferred from Baku to Yerevan. They are reunited with their families, from whom they had been separated for several months," Macron said in a tweet. "Thank you to our diplomats as well as to our soldiers mobilized in this operation. We are moving forward!" The moves came on the footsteps of a recent virtual meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azeri leader Ilham ALiyev, which was also arranged by Macron and European Council President Charles Michel.
