Defense Minister travels to Syunik amid army casualties

PanARMENIAN.Net - Defense Minister Suren Papikyan has visited the southern Armenian province of Syunik, the Defense Ministry reported on Friday, March 18.

Meeting with the officers in one of the military units, Papikyan said recent incidents which involved the death of two soldiers in said military units are a consequence of lack of discipline, as well as the inadequate level of morale of individual servicemen.

The Minister of Defense also visited a military unit being renovated to learn more about the construction process on the spot.
