Karabakh gas pipeline repaired, authorities confirm

PanARMENIAN.Net - A gas pipeline in Nagorno-Karabakh that had been damaged for over 10 days has been repaired, according to the NKR InfoCenter.

The Karabakh authorities said, however, that some technical works still need to be carried out to ensure the "proper and uninterrupted supply of gas."

"We once again urge all customers to be vigilant so that there is no gas leakage or emergency when the gas supply is restored" the InfoCenter said in a statement.

100,000 residents in Karabakh have been deprived of gas for over 10 days now, and because the pipeline was damaged in territories currently under Baku's control, the Azerbaijani military would not allow the Armenian side to eliminate the problem. After lengthy negotiations, Azerbaijan began the repairs work.
