Brothers, sons of soldiers killed in action released from conscription

PanARMENIAN.Net - The brothers and sons of the servicemen killed in hostilities will be released from compulsory military service, according to a bill approved by the National Assembly on Tuesday, April 12.

The motion, introduced by lawmaker from the ruling Civil Contract party, was approved by 68 MPs. The opposition Armenia and "I Have Honor" parties are not attending parliament sessions.

However, brothers or sons of deceased servicemen may, if they wish, serve in the army after submitting an application.
