Russia says Karabakh soldier injured in Azerbaijan's ceasefire violation

PanARMENIAN.Net - A soldier of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) Defense Army was injured after Azerbaijani forces violated the ceasefire in the village of Parukh, the Russian Defense Ministry reported on Tuesday, April 12, according to TASS.

“During the past 24 hours, the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Nagorno-Karabakh registered one case of ceasefire violation by the Azerbaijani armed forces near Parukh, as a result of which a serviceman was wounded from the Armenian side,” said a Russian defense ministry statement.

Azerbaijan has broken into Nagorno-Karabakh, and the incursion has left three Armenian soldiers dead and more than a dozen others injured. On March 24, Azerbaijan stormed into the zone of the responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers stationed in the area and is refusing to completely withdraw its forces from strategic heights.
