Armenia in greatest demand among Russian travelers

PanARMENIAN.Net - Most of Russia's air tickets booked for June to August are for Armenia, Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, a study from the travel planning service OneTwoTrip reveals, according to TASS.

"Among foreign countries, Armenia (18.7% of all bookings abroad), Turkey (16%), Kyrgyzstan (14.5%), Kazakhstan (3.8%) and Greece (3.4%) currently have the biggest demand. In addition, Russians place orders with Azerbaijan (3.3%), Tajikistan (3%), Israel (2.9%), Italy (2.4%) and Georgia (2.2%)," analysts said.

In addition, the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the unprecedented Western sanctions against Russia have made many Russian businesses flee their home country and settle in Armenia. The Ministry of Economy earlier published a guide for businesses seeking to relocate to Armenia, also setting up a working group to answer queries.
