Peter Oundjian coming to Armena with concerts with ANPOJune 16, 2022 - 16:58 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Canadian-Armenian violinist and conductor Peter Oundjian will visit Armenia for the first time in 25 years and perform with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra. Under the baton of Oundjian, the ANPO will give concerts in Yerevan on June 17 and in Gyumri on June 18. The soloist of the concert is famous American violinist Robert McDuffie. The concerts will feature Dvorak's 9th Symphony ("From the New World") and Brahms Violin Concerto․ In February 2022, Oundjian was announced as principal conductor of the Colorado Symphony. He conducted his first concert in this new role, a performance of Holst's The Planets, in late March.
