Bust of Djivan Gasparyan to be opened in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The bust of the celebrated duduk master player Djivan Gasparyan, who passed away in the summer of 2021, will be opened at Yerevan's Komitas Pantheon on the 1st anniversary of his death on July 6.

Known as the "Master of the duduk", Gasparyan died at the age of 92.

The bust is authored by sculptor Alexan Babayan. According to a report from Panorama.am, a number of events, concerts and other initiatives dedicated to the artist will be held not only in Armenia but also in Russia.

In September, Jivan Gasparyan Jr. will give a concert in Yerevan with the State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia.
