PanARMENIAN.Net - The Defense Army of Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) on Tuesday, August 2 reported "stable tension" on the contact line with Azerbaijan after the latter attempted to breach the line of contact the previous day.

As a result of Azerbaijan's provocations, serviceman Albert Bakhshiyan was injured on Monday.

"As we reported, the authorities of the Republic, together with the command of the Defense Forces and the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops, are taking steps to defuse the tension and prevent further escalation," the Defense Army said in a statement.

According to earlier reports, the Armenian forces have managed to prevent the advance of the Azerbaijanis and have reported no fatalities.
