Luxembourg concerned at Azerbaijan's military operations against Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Luxembourg is deeply concerned at reports about military operations by Azerbaijan directed against Armenia that have caused many casualties, the aforeign Ministry of Luxembourg said in a statement on Tuesday, September 13.

"Hostilies must stop. FM [Jean] Asselborn calls on both parties to refrain from further escalation," the statement reads.

The Armenian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday morning that the situation on the border remained tense, with the Azerbaijani military continuing to shell the Armenian positions and civilian homes. Photos published online show damage to residential buildings in villages situated the closest to the border. 49 Armenian servicemen have been confirmed dead.
