Ankara: Iran’s pro-Armenian statements

PanARMENIAN.Net - Iran’s pro-Armenian statements "hurt" Turkey and Azerbaijan, Turkish Presidential Spokesperson Ibrahim Kalin said in a TV interview on Tuesday, January 3, Daily Sabah reports.

“Iran’s pro-Armenian statements at times hurt us as they do Azerbaijan,” Kalın said.

According to him, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iran, Armenia and Georgia must act in harmony together and be "open and clear with one another" in order to achieve lasting peace and stability in the South Caucasus.

Iranian authorities have been concerned over changes in borders with Armenia amid a series of flare-ups that Azerbaijan launched in the past two years.
