"The meeting of the Economic Council will be held in Moscow on March 17 simultaneously with the traditional economic forum of the CIS. We hope that there will be representatives of all Commonwealth countries, and we have also invited representatives of the SCO, BRICS countries and, of course, our partners from the EAEU [will also be there]," - Lebedev said. At present, the SCO includes Russia, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Iran is in the process of joining the organization. Afghanistan and Mongolia have observer status. At the September 2022 SCO summit in Samarkand, a mechanism was launched for Belarus to join the organization, which currently has observer status.
