Azerbaijan fires on Karabakh villagers working in the fields

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Azerbaijani military opened fire on a Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) villager working in the fields on a tractor on February 28, the Karabakh Interior Ministry reports.

The next day, the Azerbaijanis targeted another villager who, too, was working a tractor in the field.

Both civilians had to cut short the work.

Since December 12, the sole road connecting Nagorno Karabakh to Armenia - the Lachin Corridor - has been blocked by self-described Azerbaijani environmentalists. Karabakh residents have reported food and fuel shortages, while hospital patients don't have access to essential medicines, with only a handful allowed transfer to facilities in Armenia proper.
