Yerevan says will respond in kind if Azerbaijan doesn't leave Armenian soil

PanARMENIAN.Net - President of the Armenian National Assembly Alen Simonyan said Thursday, June 1 that if the Azerbaijani military does not withdraw from Armenian territory, Armenia will respond in kind.

Simonyan said 150 square kilometers of Armenian soil are currently occupied by Azerbaijan, Panorama.am.

"It is natural that troops should be withdrawn [from the border]. After the demarcation and delimitation, based on the maps, the Azerbaijani troops must and will leave the territory of Armenia, and, naturally, the Armenian troops will withdraw from the territory of Azerbaijan," Simonyan said.

"It is ruled out that a peace agreement be signed outside the 29 thousand 800 square kilometers (of Armenian territory -Ed.)."
