Azerbaijani ex-Prime Minister Surat Huseynov dies

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Surat Huseynov, also known as the “Rebel Colonel” died on Monday, July 31, local media reports reveal.

Huseynov rose to prominence during the First Nagorno-Karabakh War, and his military career led, in 1993, to his rise to power, but he was later imprisoned.

He will be buried in Ganja, although he lived and died abroad.
