U.S.: Russia not concerned about Armenia's interests

PanARMENIAN.Net - The United States Department of State believes Russia is not concerned about Armenia's interests.

The press service of the Department made the remarks in response to a request from the Armenian service of Voice of America when asked to comment on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's recent statements regarding Armenia's membership in the CSTO and the steps taken by Yerevan in the field of defense.

The Department of State said the U.S. respects Armenia's desire as an independent country to continue its chosen security relationships and supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries in the region.

The Department added that Russia, meanwhile, is not a reliable partner in the South Caucasus or elsewhere.
