EU parliament motion calls for visa liberalization dialogue with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - The European Parliament on Wednesday, March 13 adopted a motion for a European Parliament resolution that calls for launching a visa liberalization dialogue with Armenia.

The motion encourages closer ties between the EU and Armenia and stresses the need for a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

According to the press service of the European Parliament, the MEPs recognize the “untapped potential of people-to-people contacts between the EU and Armenia.”

The Parliament also calls for the “progress achieved by Armenia in implementing the agreements on visa facilitation and readmission to be acknowledged” and “believe that it is time to launch a visa liberalisation dialogue with Armenia.”
