ARMENIA PLEDGED SUPPORT TO RUSSIA IN BLACK SEA ECONOMIC COOPERATION PARLIAMENTARY ASSEMBLY SECRETARY-GENERAL ELECTIONS

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian delegation headed by the chief of the parliamentary commission on state and legal affairs Viktor Dallakian will participate in the 19-th plenary session of the General Assembly of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. The session will be held June 11-13 in Tbilisi. Reelection of the organization secretary-general is expected at the session. As reported by "Arminfo" agency, the representatives of Russia, Turkey and Ukraine are the real contenders for the post. There are reports that Azerbaijan also intends to struggle for the post. But the opinion that just the Russian representative will take the office of the secretary-general of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation is prevailing. Russia has enlisted the support of the Armenian party in this question. The Armenian deputies will not claim the post of the secretary-general, as Armenia keeps for itself the post of deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly occupied by Viktor Dallakian, as well as the office of the deputy chairman of the Committee on ecological and cultural affairs, taken by Gagik Tadevosian.
