Government launches pilot to enhance nursery access![]() January 30, 2025 - 15:37 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - A new pilot program aimed at expanding access to preschool education will be launched, revising the age threshold for nursery services. The program was presented at a government session by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan. For the pilot program, four institutions in Yerevan will be selected, one of which will begin an educational program for a group of children aged 6-12 months. In Vanadzor and Gyumri, there will be two institutions each, and in Hrazdan, one institution, where children from the age of one will benefit from nursery services. "It is planned to launch a new program within 10 groups for about 200 children, which will be implemented in several communities. The communities and institutions were selected in consultation with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and the Yerevan Municipality," said the minister. The total cost of the project is estimated at 175 million drams, which will be allocated from the state budget.
