He had been wanted by Russian law enforcement since August last year on charges related to organizing and running illegal gambling operations. The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that he has been placed in custody. In another case, during the night of May 2 to 3, a 47-year-old foreign national residing in Yerevan was transferred from the Bagratashen border control unit to the Noyemberyan Community Police. According to information received from the Armenian bureau of Interpol’s National Central Bureau (NCB), the man has been wanted by Iranian authorities since 2017 on charges of fraud.
