Father of missing toddler suspects abduction

PanARMENIAN.Net - Arthur Manukyan, father of 2-year-old Tigran Manukyan who went missing on May 4 in the village of Marmarik in Armenia’s Kotayk Province, has shared his concerns about the case, reports Pastinfo.

He stated that he is increasingly inclined to believe that the child was abducted.

Despite rescue workers’ continued efforts to search the Marmarik River and other regions of Armenia, no trace of the child has been found so far. He noted that the river has yielded the remains of various animals, but no sign of his son.

“There’s not a single trace. They’ve pulled out cats, lambs, calves, chickens from the water, but the fact is my child isn’t there. No shoes, no clothes—nothing. I’m not ruling anything out. It could be he was taken. The fact remains, and I’m leaning more toward the idea that he was taken,” Manukyan said.

He also dismissed reports about alleged fundraising efforts as false.

“I don’t know why websites and YouTube channels are posting that the parents were asked for money or that a fundraiser is underway. Folks, there’s no such thing. It’s misinformation—don’t believe it,” he said.

Manukyan emphasized that if such a situation arose, he would personally make a public announcement and asked people not to send any money.
