  Two minor earthquakes strike near Bavra on May 20 May 21, 2025 - 11:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 20 at 8:30 p.m. local time (4:30 p.m. GMT), Armenia's National Seismic Protection Service recorded an earthquake in the Armenia–Georgia border zone, approximately 10 km southeast of Bavra village. The earthquake originated at a depth of 10 kilometers. The magnitude was measured at 2.8, with the epicentral area experiencing a shaking intensity of 3–4 points on the MSK scale. Tremors were felt in Shirak Province's Bavra, Saragyugh, and Ashotsk communities, with an intensity of 2–3 points. A previous earthquake had struck the same area earlier that day, at 10:11 a.m. local time. It measured 2.9 in magnitude and was centered 8 km southeast of Bavra, at a depth of 10 km.
