448 Armenian passports issued abroad in Q1 2025![]() May 22, 2025 - 19:35 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - In the first quarter of 2025, a total of 448 valid Armenian passports were issued abroad to Armenian citizens. Of these, 205 were issued by Armenia's Embassy in Damascus and 243 by the Consulate General in Aleppo. The recipients included Armenian citizens and ethnic Armenians who had obtained Armenian citizenship and were applying for a passport for the first time. The Armenian government approved a decision to waive the state fee for issuing passports to Armenian citizens abroad. Under the policy, ethnic Armenian foreign nationals or Armenian citizens residing in foreign countries are exempt from paying the state duty if they live in regions where emergencies pose a threat to life or health. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
