Over 700 wanted by CIS countries found in Armenia![]() May 27, 2025 - 19:09 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - More than 700 individuals wanted in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) have been located in Armenia between 2022 and 2024, according to Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Armen Ghazaryan. He made the statement during a National Assembly session on May 27. “In total, over 700 individuals were identified and transferred to our partner states in the CIS by the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs from 2022 to 2024,” he said, as reported by 1lurer.am . As of February 28, 2025, the number of individuals internationally wanted by all CIS member states exceeded 160,000. During 2024 alone, Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs submitted interstate search requests for more than 1,200 individuals. This compares to 867 individuals in 2023 and over 1,400 in 2022. Deputy Minister Ghazaryan highlighted that the Republic of Armenia has consistently maintained active cooperation with CIS member countries regarding the transfer of wanted persons discovered in Armenia. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
