Ajapnyak metro station design passes state review![]() June 10, 2025 - 11:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The design package for Yerevan Metro’s 11th station—Ajapnyak—has received a positive conclusion from the state comprehensive examination. The announcement was made by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan on his Facebook page. “This means that the next phase of processes related to the station’s construction is now underway. Upcoming steps include full financing approval by the Armenian government, land acquisition and resettlement within the affected area, and preparation for a construction tender. We discussed the project’s progress and next steps during a meeting with Valery Abramson, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Metrogiprotrans,” the post read. In March 2024, it was announced that the tender for developing the design and budget documentation for the Ajapnyak metro station had been completed, and a contract had been signed with the winning company.
