Supreme Court ends criminal case against professor Charchyan![]() June 10, 2025 - 13:43 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The four-year-long criminal proceedings against Professor Armen Charchyan have officially concluded, with the Court of Cassation rejecting the appeal, meaning Charchyan will not serve a prison sentence. The announcement was made on Facebook by his lawyer, Erik Aleksanyan. "After four years, the criminal case against Professor Armen Charchyan has officially ended in success. The Court of Cassation decided to reject the Prosecutor General’s appeal for consideration, meaning the suspended sentence previously given to Armen Charchyan remains in effect. An exceptional human being and miracle-worker who saved many lives, Charchyan will not go to prison," wrote Aleksanyan. Previously, the doctor had expressed gratitude to those who stood by him during difficult times. Charchyan was accused of allegedly coercing hospital staff to vote in the snap parliamentary elections.
