Armenian embassy in Israel calls for vigilance

PanARMENIAN.Net - The Armenian Embassy in Israel has issued a statement urging Armenian citizens currently in the country to remain alert and to contact the embassy in case of emergencies.

In its announcement, the embassy provided contact information for emergencies: citizens can reach out via email (armisraelembassy@mfa.am), through social media platforms (Facebook, X), or by calling +972 58 607-0313.

Earlier, the Armenian Embassy in Iran had issued a similar advisory for Armenian citizens in that country, also recommending vigilance and communication with the embassy during emergencies.

The warnings come in the wake of escalating tensions in the region. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the launch of "True Promise 3" in retaliation to Israeli attacks, following a message from Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei promising a harsh response to Israel.

On the night of June 13, Israeli Air Force reportedly targeted at least six military bases near Tehran. Iranian state media claimed that Israel also struck residential neighborhoods in Tehran and other cities, including the headquarters of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the capital. In response, Iran's Armed Forces General Staff warned that any attacks on its territory by the Israeli regime would be met with a devastating counterstrike.
