Anti-corruption body denies arrests in Vardenis![]() July 7, 2025 - 15:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Anti-Corruption Committee has refuted reports claiming that arrests took place early this morning in the town of Vardenis. Social media users alleged that Davit Shahnazaryan, head of the United Vardenis group, and Sevak Khachatryan, administrative head of Sotk, had been arrested. The committee confirmed that these individuals were not detained. “These persons have not been arrested. Investigative actions are being carried out involving them,” the committee stated, without disclosing the scope or nature of the proceedings. Sevak Khachatryan responded to the rumors by clarifying that, while he is not currently at his workplace, he remains at liberty. ![]() ![]() As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
