He made the statement at a session of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration, Radar Armenia reported. “For our country, closed borders are a risk, because Turkey and Azerbaijan have closed them to neutralize Armenia economically and solve their own problems more easily,” he said. The minister assured that he will not allow the same course to continue and “ultimately destroy the state.” Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan recently stated at the UN General Assembly that the normalization process between Ankara and Yerevan is ongoing. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”.
