Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, speaking at the start of a ministerial conference in Luxembourg, underscored the South Caucasus region’s role in linking Europe with Central Asia, Armenpress reports. “Today I join my counterparts from the European Union, the wider Black Sea region, and Central Asia to explore ways to promote stronger resilience, enhanced security, and better connectivity through interregional cooperation. The fact that peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is already established and the two countries are discussing the opening of communications and transport infrastructure adds significant new potential, as our region can play a vital role in connecting Europe with Central Asia,” said the minister. Ararat Mirzoyan is in Luxembourg on a working visit. Mirzoyan is attending the EU-initiated ministerial conference on ‘Interregional Security and Connectivity.’ Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
