Deputy PM: Azerbaijan's move aids peace agenda![]() October 21, 2025 - 18:14 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan has welcomed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s announcement on lifting restrictions on cargo shipments bound for Armenia. Grigoryan praised both Azerbaijani and Kazakhstani partners for their efforts in this direction, emphasizing the significance of such cooperation, Armenpress reports. “Indeed, I welcome the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s decision to lift restrictions on cargo shipments toward Armenia. This move is of great importance for opening regional communications, strengthening mutual trust, and advancing the peace agenda. I highly value the efforts and work done by our partners in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in this regard,” Grigoryan said. Prime Minister’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan also issued a statement welcoming the Azerbaijani president’s announcement. Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
