Disciplinary action not discussed at Etchmiadzin meeting

PanARMENIAN.Net - The monastic assembly held at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has concluded, with clerics raising concerns about the recent developments surrounding the Church, Aysor.am reported.

According to Father Anania, the issue of disciplinary action against the bishops who met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was not discussed, as it does not fall under the jurisdiction of the monastic assembly.

The assembly’s final positions will be released at a later time.

The meeting with Pashinyan was attended by Archbishop Abraham Mkrtchyan, Archbishop Arakel Karamyan, Archbishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, Bishop Anushavan Jamkochyan, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan, Bishop Artak Tigranyan, and Bishop Gevorg Saroyan.
