
The number of real estate transactions in Armenia decreased in 2025, according to Suren Tovmasyan, head of the Cadastre Committee, during a press conference.
“In 2025, 244,000 property transactions were registered nationwide. In 2024, that figure was 247,900. So, there’s been a drop of 3,900. Notably, this decline was primarily in the primary market. Other sectors have remained relatively stable,” said Tovmasyan, as reported by Armenpress.
He attributed the decrease mainly to changes in the income tax refund system, particularly the discontinuation of the program in Yerevan.
As for regional activity, price trends, and which types of transactions dominated the market, Tovmasyan noted that these details will be released at the end of January, once the full annual statistics are compiled.
