Aliyev: Armenia-Azerbaijan, Armenia-Turkey talks progress in parallel![]() January 21, 2026 - 12:23 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During a panel discussion on “Defining Eurasia’s Economic Identity” in Davos, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed normalization with Armenia, stating that the Armenia-Azerbaijan and Armenia-Turkey reconciliation processes are progressing in parallel. “Undoubtedly, these processes will conclude with the simultaneous establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia, as well as between Azerbaijan and Armenia,” Aliyev said, as reported by APA. He added that unless objectives are achieved within the region, Azerbaijan would not be able to focus on global affairs. Aliyev also mentioned during the same Davos panel that a new transport corridor would be created as part of the TRIPP initiative. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
