Armenian winter draft extended until February 13![]() January 29, 2026 - 12:21 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The winter military conscription period in Armenia has been extended until February 13, inclusive. The decision was adopted at a government session. The extension aims to allow the completion of health assessments for citizens drafted under the 2025 winter call-up, ensuring the proper determination of their eligibility status, Aysor.am reports. Analysis of current draft data revealed that, due to the additional volume of medical evaluations, it would be difficult to complete all examinations by January 31. This is particularly relevant since the previous deadline for re-evaluation, as per clause 8.2 of the decision, was January 25. To prevent unnecessary deferments or the transfer of medical evaluations to the 2026 summer draft for eligible citizens, the conscription period has been extended through February 13, 2026. As a result of floods in Armenia’s northern Lori and Tavush provinces, 17 bridges, including five large ones, have collapsed.
