ARMENIA DEPRIVED OF VOTE IN UNESCO BECAUSE OF DEBTS

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia is deprived of the vote in UNESCO because of the delay of the membership fee payment. Deputy foreign minister Tatul Markarian stated this today in the course of the parliamentary hearings. In all, Armenia owes 1 billion 200 million drams (over $2 mln) to different international organizations. Now the schedule of the paying off debts is being developed. Armenia has debts because of not full payments of funds stipulated in the state budget to the ministry of foreign affairs. According to Markarian, the government has met the 85% of budget obligations to the Ministry of Foreign Ministry affairs.
