Armenia denies any exports to Azerbaijan![]() April 16, 2026 - 15:31 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) has denied reports that goods were exported from Armenia to Azerbaijan, according to Sputnik Armenia. Earlier, Azerbaijani media, citing the State Customs Committee, reported that Azerbaijan had imported goods worth $960 from Armenia in March, marking the first such instance. “Responding to information circulated in the media, we inform that, according to the customs statistics of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, no cases of exports from Armenia to Azerbaijan have been recorded by customs authorities,” the SRC said. After a roughly 35-year pause, on December 19, 2025, a train of 22 wagons carrying 1,218 tons of A95 gasoline arrived in Armenia’s Ayrum station in Tavush region via Georgia from Azerbaijan. According to Azerbaijani customs data, in January 2026 Azerbaijan exported $2.403 million worth of gasoline and diesel fuel to Armenia, accounting for 0.1% of its total exports. In the first quarter of the year, exports to Armenia reportedly reached about $5.8 million. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision.
