Zurabyan: flag burning reflects weakness, not strength

PanARMENIAN.Net - ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan commented on the phenomenon of burning the Turkish flag during a conversation with journalists at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.

He noted that he would prefer that “they burn the Armenian flag as a sign of victory”, Panorama.am reports.

“I believe that when you burn a flag, it is, unfortunately, a consequence of defeat, stagnation, and weakness. I would prefer that they burn the Armenian flag — it is burned when you are victorious,” he said.

Zurabyan added that he dreams of a situation in which “we will be the masters of the situation and the Armenian flag will be burned.”

On April 23, young people burned the Turkish flag in Republic Square before the Torchlight Procession.
