Armenia becomes Europe’s heart, deputy FM says

PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, speaking at the 8th European Political Community summit, stated that “it can be said that today Armenia is the heart of Europe.”

He noted that the summit has brought together issues of national importance for Armenia as well as topics related to the broader European agenda, Aysor.am reports.

“The main discussions and directions will focus on hybrid threats and democratic resilience, communication, the green transition, and energy,” he said.

On May 4, Yerevan hosted the 8th summit of the European Political Community, to be followed on May 5 by the first Armenia–European Union summit. Around 50 high-level delegations arrived in Armenia, including European Council President António Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. French President Emmanuel Macron also arrived in Yerevan, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited Armenia for the first time.
