Aliyev says “Zangezur corridor will be built”

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that the “Zangezur Corridor will definitely be built” in accordance with a document signed on August 8. He made the remarks during the official opening ceremony of the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

Aliyev said Azerbaijan continues to open new transport corridors while investing in railway and road infrastructure, APA reported.

“The Zangezur Corridor, which will become another branch of the East-West Corridor, will definitely be built in accordance with the document signed on August 8, 2025, at the White House by the President of the United States, the Prime Minister of Armenia and myself,” he said.

Earlier, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio signed a number of documents at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport.

A framework agreement on strategic cooperation regarding the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity project between Armenia and the United States was initialed, while a comprehensive strategic partnership charter between the two countries was also signed.
