Peskov links Putin-Pashinyan meeting to election outcome

PanARMENIAN.Net - A decision on a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will be made at the bilateral level after the final results of Armenia’s parliamentary elections are summarized, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

“Until the completion of the elections, the Prime Minister of Armenia is, of course, occupied with the processes taking place inside the country. After that, depending on the final outcome of the electoral process, we will make decisions at the bilateral level,” Peskov said, according to RIA Novosti.

According to Peskov, Pashinyan remains focused on domestic political developments while the election process is being finalized.

According to preliminary data, votes in the elections were distributed as follows: Civil Contract — 49.825 percent, Strong Armenia — 23.281 percent, Armenia Alliance — 9.934 percent, Prosperous Armenia — 3.996 percent. Updated figures indicate that the Prosperous Armenia Party has not passed the electoral threshold, which is 4 percent for parties. The party has requested recounts in several polling stations.
