Mishustin stresses humanitarian ties with Armenia

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said Russia places great importance on humanitarian cooperation with Armenia and proposed continuing the tradition of organizing cultural days, exhibitions, festivals, and other joint events.

Mishustin made the remarks during a bilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the sidelines of the Innoprom international industrial exhibition in Yekaterinburg.

“We attach great importance to cultural and humanitarian cooperation with our Armenian partners and propose continuing the tradition of holding cultural days, exhibitions, and festivals,” Mishustin said, according to RIA Novosti.

He added that this also applies to educational and youth initiatives.

“There are also good opportunities to expand our direct interregional ties. I am ready to discuss with you the full range of issues concerning our bilateral relations,” the Russian prime minister said.

Mishustin also said Moscow expects the new Armenian government, to be formed following the parliamentary elections, to ensure the continued development of Russian-Armenian relations.

“We expect that the new government formed following the vote and the elections will ensure the consistent development of Russian-Armenian relations in the spirit of friendship, good neighborliness, mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests,” Mishustin said.
